If you intend using your certificate outside the country of origin then do not laminate your certificate. But i didn t think it d be the same for birth certificates. I know you can t laminate your ss card. Should be as long as the detail is legible and can be photocopied by australia post for the application. It is also highly inadvisable to laminate any documents to do with property ownership vehicle registration or business ownership. They were selling them at the photo kiosk by the passport office.
