Can Mobs Spaawn On Carpet

I covered the most part with single layer carpet and endermen are spawning there a lot.

Can mobs spaawn on carpet.

So i m building illmango s endermen farm and i built a walkway 3x200 away from the main end island. New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast. If slabs are surrounding a spawner the mobs will still spawn same goes for carpet. No mobs do not spawn on carpet.

A consequence of this was that mobs can spawn on carpet as long as the block underneath the carpet supported the mob spawning. Will creepers spawn in this environment. Carpets can now be placed on top of any block including non solid blocks. The only case where mobs wont spawn is when it is one of the three spawners rabbit chicken and cow which all require direct access to grass to spawn therefore wont work if either a slab or carpet is covering it.

The last 25 of the walkway is double layer carpet and it looks like they can t spawn there.
